“Mamamia Out Loud” can officially claim to be the third most popular podcast in the country.
The podcast and its other Mamamia stablemates including “No Filter with Mia Freedman” and “The Quicky” all debuted on the Australian Podcast Ranker this month following the publisher’s decision to join the opt-in measurement system.
Overall, Mamamia is now ranked at No. 7 on the list of top podcast publishers, with 1,337,547 listeners and 6,134,800 downloads across its titles for the month of November.
This put it ahead of the likes of Nine, Nova Entertainment and Schwartz Media.
“Mamamia Out Loud” had 562,289 monthly listeners – the metric used by Triton Digital to rank the podcasts – and 1,779,957 downloads.
“No Filter”, meanwhile, came in at No. 9 with 326,166 listeners and 850,517 downloads.
Tony Prentice, Mamamia’s chief revenue officer, said the publisher was pleased to join the Ranker.
“Mamamia podcasts are unique in Australia: one coherent and compelling brand promise is delivered across 52 shows (and counting) each with sharp contextual relevance and trusted ‘friends in your ears’ hosts,” Prentice said.
“The network has an impact for brands like no other. We’re pleased to join the Ranker and make it easier for more advertisers to make better-informed decisions around their audio mix, benefitting from the unique efficacy of Mamamia.”
The top podcast overall was once again Listnr’s “Hamish and Andy”.
The podcast had 985,939 listeners and 2,152,836 downloads.
Hamish Blake and Andy Lee recently re-signed with Listnr, extending their contract in a multi-year deal.
Overall, ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network remained the top publisher, with 3,946,805 listeners and 18,302,166 downloads.
SCA’s Listnr held onto the No. 2 position, thanks to 2,952,570 listeners and 9,162,834 downloads.
