In August 2025, Netflix in Australia is returning to the creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky world of “Wednesday,” and also adding Academy Award-winner “The Brutalist”.
Just renewed by the streamer for a third season, the Jenna Ortega-led take on “The Addams Family” is releasing the first part of its second season on Wednesday, August 6, with the second batch of episodes to follow in September. Also among Netflix’s new TV additions is animated comedy “Long Story Short” from “BoJack Horseman” creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, with Dave Franco, Lisa Edelstein and Ben Feldman featuring in its voice cast.
“The Brutalist,” which won Adrien Brody his second Best Actor Oscar, is one of the service’s new big-name films for the month. Starring Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White and Harris Dickinson, wrestling biopic “The Iron Claw” is also joining the platform. From Netflix’s originals slate, so is the senior sleuths-focused “The Thursday Murder Club” with Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie and Naomi Ackie.
