A prequel to “Outlander”, the TV adaptation of John Grisham’s “The Rainmaker” and Australian film “In Vitro” are all streaming via Stan in Australia in August 2025.
“Outlander: Blood of my Blood” expands the page-to-screen franchise that first reached screens in 2014, wrapped the second part of its seventh season earlier this year and has an eighth on the way. Starring Hermione Corfield and Jeremy Irvine as the parents of Claire Randall, plus Harriet Slater and Jamie Roy as Jamie Fraser’s mother and father, it has already been renewed for a second season ahead of season one’s premiere.
Grisham’s legal drama initially gave rise to a 1997 film starring Matt Damon, Danny DeVito and Claire Danes, and now receives the episodic treatment with John Slattery, Milo Callaghan, P. J. Byrne and Robyn Cara. Stripped-back sci-fi thriller “In Vitro,” which puts biotechnological advances at the heart of its farm-set narrative, features Ashley Zukerman — and is among a number of films joining the platform, alongside “Wildlife,” “The Lodge” and David Michôd‘s “The Rover.”
