Alice James is the new executive producer of Kiis Melbourne’s breakfast show “Jase and Lauren”, featuring Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips.
The appointment is a return to radio for James, who was previously the EP of Triple M Adelaide’s offering of “Roo and Ditts”.
She departed that role last year to return to her hometown of Melbourne, taking up a publicity position with Channel 7.
From next year, however, she will be back in radio and driving the direction of “Jase and Lauren”, which in the most recent radio ratings had a 7.5% audience share, putting it on-par with the now finished “Chrissie, Sam and Browny” show on Nova 100, and ahead of Smooth FM (7.2%) and Triple M’s “The Marty Sheargold Show” (5.1%).
Adrian Brine, content director for Kiis 101.1 Melbourne, welcomed James to the team.
“Alice is a highly skilled producer whose creativity, Melbourne knowledge and industry relationships will be an incredible asset to the “Jase and Lauren” show in 2023,” he said. “I’m looking forward to seeing Alice put her stamp on this show.”
Kiis noted that James is a born and bred Melbournian, whose “strong leadership and black book of contacts will give the “Jase and Lauren” show a new edge”.
James added: “I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the “Jase and Lauren” team in 2023. There are not many people who I would get out of bed for at 4 a.m. – but these guys are it. I can’t wait to get amongst their contagious energy and help wake up Melbourne with a big morning Kiis.”
Kiis in Sydney also has a new EP for its breakfast show, “The Kyle and Jackie O Show”, with Pedro Vitola taking the reins in 2023.
