The nominees for the 66th TV Week Logie Awards have been revealed.

This year, there are seven contenders up for the Gold Logie, with the winner to be decided by public vote at a ceremony broadcast live on Seven on August 16th, 2026.

Nominees for the Most Popular Personality on Australian Television are Ally Langdon, Julia Morris, Lisa Millar, Poh Ling Yeow, Robert Irwin, Sam Pang, and Todd Woodbridge – a list that spans breakfast television, wildlife, comedy, and everything in between. Heck, even the news gets a look-in.

The ceremony will be held at The Star Sydney.

This year’s nominations also brought a milestone: the introduction of the Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter, named in honour of the broadcasting veteran who has covered Olympic Games, the AFL, tennis, horse racing, and rugby union across five decades. McAvaney, an OAM recipient and TV Week Logie Awards Hall of Fame inductee, will present the award himself on the night.

Nominees for the new honour are McAvaney himself (World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025, SBS), Danika Mason (9Network), Eddie McGuire (9Network), James Bracey (9Network), Jelena Dokic (9Network), and Ricky Ponting (The Ashes 2025-26, Seven Network).

TV Week Editorial Director Amber Giles called the nominations “a genuine celebration of how extraordinary Australian television has become,” adding: “From free-to-air favourites to the streaming shows everyone has been talking about, the breadth and quality of original Australian storytelling on our screens right now is something to be proud of.”

The Silver Logie nominations reflect the breadth of the current Australian drama landscape.

“The Narrow Road to the Deep North” (Prime Video) dominates the acting categories, earning nominations for Jacob Elordi (Best Lead Actor), Odessa Young (Best Lead Actress), Simon Baker (Best Supporting Actor), Heather Mitchell (Best Supporting Actress), and Thomas Weatherall, who also received a nomination for “Heartbreak High” (Netflix). ABC’s “Mystery Road: Origin” and Seven’s “RFDS” each drew multiple nominations across performance and program categories.

In comedy, “Deadloch” (Prime Video) received nods in both Best Scripted Comedy Program and Best Actress in a Comedy, with Kate Box and Madeleine Sami both nominated. The ABC’s “Austin” and “Dog Park” also featured strongly across the comedy acting categories.

The Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter features Amanda Keller, Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Larry Emdur, Lisa Millar, and Robert Irwin – with Morris and Irwin both appearing across multiple categories after their time on “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” (Network 10).

The Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent includes two nominees from “Goolagong” (ABC) – Eloise Hart and Lila McGuire – alongside Stuart Broad from “The Ashes 2025-26” and Rowan Witt and Tamala from “Ghosts Australia” (Paramount+).

For Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter, Ally Langdon, David Speers, Karl Stefanovic, Michael Usher, Sarah Abo, and Sarah Ferguson are in contention.

Across all categories, the ABC dominated this year’s nominations with 41 nods – nearly double that of its nearest rival. The public broadcaster’s strength ran across drama, comedy, factual, children’s, current affairs, and entertainment, reflecting the depth of its local content slate.

The 9Network was second with 28 nominations, followed by Seven Network on 16. Among streamers, Prime Video led with 11 nominations, level with Network 10, while Binge/Foxtel, SBS, Stan, and Netflix each drew between seven and eight. Paramount+ received four nominations, Disney+ and NITV one each.

Nine is counting Stan’s seven nominations within its overall tally, bringing the combined Nine and Stan total to 36, closing the gap significantly on the ABC’s lead and underscoring the scale of the company’s content footprint across broadcast and streaming.
