It seems that “Euphoria” is coming to an end.

Zendaya, who leads the cast of the HBO series, teased the news while being interviewed on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” When Barrymore asked if the upcoming third season would be the last, Zendaya said, “I think so, yeah.” Barrymore added, “I never want to ask questions like that, because it’s not my business, and yet, is this to be enjoyed knowing [it will end]?” Zendaya repeated herself, saying, “Yes, I think so.” “I almost need to know the mindframe [before watching],” Barrymore said, and Zendaya responded, “That closure is coming.”

HBO declined to comment on whether “Euphoria” is ending. Despite the lack of official confirmation, it has been predicted by fans and assumed by many in the entertainment industry for years that the upcoming installation would conclude the Sam Levinson-created series. There was a four-year hiatus between Seasons 2 and 3, during which the cast — which includes Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Colman Domingo and others in addition to Zendaya — has become more and more in demand in Hollywood, booking several other high-profile projects. Because the first two seasons were set in a high school, Season 3 will feature a time jump following the characters into their adult lives. The official logline reads, “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption and the problem of evil.”

Levinson writes and directs “Euphoria,” and serves as executive producer alongside Ashley Levinson, Sara E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tmira Yardeni, Yoram Mokady and Gary Lennon.
