The local version of the global hit show,”The Traitors”, will premiere on Network 10 this August.
Gretel Killeen will host the revived format, which features 22 contestants drawn from reality television, sport and entertainment competing in a game of deception and elimination.
Contestants will begin the game as Faithfuls before a select group is secretly chosen as Traitors. The Traitors must avoid detection while eliminating Faithfuls, who in turn attempt to identify and banish them from the game.
Killeen said contestants should be prepared to embrace the game’s deceptive nature as they enter her manor.
“Darlings, I have only three tips for these deluded ‘individuals’ as they come to play in my mischievous mansion; leave your good self at home and pack the naughty you, give yourself permission to feel good being bad, and never forget that although you may win the money, I will always win the game,” she warned.
The cast includes Ian “Dicko” Dickson and Cosima De Vito from “Australian Idol”, Gamble Breaux from “The Real Housewives of Melbourne”, Krissy Marsh from “The Real Housewives of Sydney”, Kween Kong and Rhys Nicholson from “Drag Race Down Under”, Shane Gould, Kirby Bentley, Henry Nicholson and AJ Antonios from “Australian Survivor”, Keira Maguire and Alex Nation from “The Bachelor”, and Cam Merchant from “Married At First Sight”.
