Australian star Rose Byrne leads new crime drama, “The Good Daughter”, a new six-episode series set to premiere exclusively on Stan in Australia.
Adapted from the novel by best-selling author Karin Slaughter, the series centres on estranged sisters Charlotte (Meghann Fahy) and Samantha (Byrne), who have spent the last 20 years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence.
Per Stan: “When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte — a lawyer like her father — is the first witness on the scene. As the case unfolds and twists through painful memories and buried secrets, what emerges is not just a story of survival, but of enduring ties between a father, his daughters and the complex bond between sisters.”
The news comes after Byrne, the Sydney-born Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner, swept the Awards season with 2025’s “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You”.
The supporting ensemble includes Brendan Gleeson (“Mr. Mercedes”), with Harper Steele (“Will & Harper”), Olivia Williams (“Dune: Prophecy”), Drew Cheek (“Fck Valentines Day*”), Audrey Grace Marshall (“The Flight Attendant”) and Australian actor Michael Dorman, fresh off Stan Original “Whale Shark Jack”.
Slaughter serves as showrunner and wrote all six episodes. Steph Green directs the series and executive produces. “The Good Daughter” is produced by Made Up Stories in partnership with Fifth Season.
“The Good Daughter” premieres on November 13th on Stan, the same day as its US premiere on Peacock.
