Australian production company Northern Pictures has picked up three Emmy Awards for the fourth season of “Love on the Spectrum,” taking its overall haul for the Netflix series to 10.
The series was among the winners at the 78th Emmy Awards’ Creative Arts ceremony in Los Angeles over the weekend. It won Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program (for Cian O’Clery, Sean Bowman, Ashley Morgan and Emily Frisbie), and Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program (for Marcus Kjellberg, Leanne Cole, Kim Lloyd and John Rosser).
The three wins came from five nominations for the fourth season, which was also recognised in the cinematography and directing categories.
The Creative Arts Emmys form part of the broader Primetime Emmy Awards and are held ahead of the main ceremony, recognising categories spanning reality and documentary programming as well as technical and craft achievements such as casting, editing, cinematography and production design.
The main Primetime Emmy ceremony, which presents many of the higher-profile series and acting awards, will take place in Los Angeles next Monday (10am Tuesday, AEST). It will be hosted by “Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay, who will be the first female host in 15 years.
It continues a strong run at the Emmys for the Australian-made series, which has collected 10 Creative Arts Emmy wins across 2022, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Northern Pictures now boasts the most Primetime Emmy Awards won by an Australian company.

We’ll be celebrating these wins for a very long time,” series co-creator Karina Holden, who is also Northern Pictures’ head of factual, said.

Created by Holden and director and showrunner Cian O’Clery, “Love on the Spectrum” follows people on the autism spectrum as they navigate dating and relationships. Season four saw Madison and Tyler become engaged, while Dylan, Logan and Emma were among the new participants introduced to the series.

The fourth season premiered globally on Netflix on April 2nd, coinciding with World Autism Awareness Day. Northern Pictures has already been commissioned for a fifth season, which is currently in production.
