“Saturday Night Live” star Chloe Fineman faced scrutiny over an unexpected story in a Vanity Fair video about her pantsing a six-year-old boy when she worked at a summer camp as a teenager. Her “SNL” co-stars expressed shock at the story, which ended with Fineman getting fired by the camp, but Vanity Fair has removed some of their reactions and cringey details from the video.

The video, titled “‘SNL’ Cast Test How Well They Know Each Other,” begins with Fineman asking her co-stars to guess which job she was fired from and later re-hired by. Mikey Day, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla, Jane Wickline and James Austin Johnson brainstorm ideas, like Fineman getting fired as a hostess at a restaurant, but they were not expecting the story she was about to tell.

“I was fired as a camp counselor,” Fineman says in the video, explaining that she was 16 at the time. “I pantsed a boy. He would lift my shirt all the time. It was a different time. He would be like, ‘Hey, could I have a hug?’ And then I’d go to hug him and he’d lift my shirt, like a dick. And then I was like, ‘I’m going to get back at you.’ And so we were on a hike and I was like, ‘Hey, Ollie, go look over there. It’s a hawk.’ He looked and then I yanked his pants down, and then I was fired.”

However, the Vanity Fair video was edited and removed Fineman mentioning that the boy was 6 and his “little ding-a-ling was out.” The original video also showed Padilla telling Fineman, “Oh, honey, I think you’re on a list somewhere.”

“He wasn’t wearing underpants, and then a giant school bus drove by,” Fineman says in the original video, but not in the new version. There were also shots of the “SNL” cast members gasping and covering their faces that were removed from the original. Many people on social media were shocked at Fineman’s story and later pointed out that the Vanity Fair video had been edited to make it less shocking. Variety has reached out to Vanity Fair for comment.
