The Federal Government has announced three appointments across the boards of Screen Australia and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation.

Arts Minister Tony Burke confirmed Dr Tania Chambers’ appointment to a three-year term as Screen Australia’s Deputy Chair, alongside the appointment of media executive Christopher Chard as a Screen Australia Board Member. Actor and writer Michelle Lim Davidson has also been reappointed to the ACTF board for a further three-year term.

“The years of experience from both Tania and Chris will be an asset to the Screen Australia Board, ensuring its continued success,” Burke said. “Michelle will continue to bring her expert knowledge and valuable insights to the Australian Children’s Television Foundation Board.”

Chambers brings extensive experience as both a producer and screen executive. Her producing credits include “God Bless You, Mr Kopu,” “Invisible Boys,” “How to Please a Woman,” “Itch,” “A Few Less Men” and “Kill Me Three Times.”

She previously served as CEO of both Screen NSW and Screenwest, was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 2016 for services to the arts and film and television, and was recently nominated for Western Australian of the Year for her contribution to arts and culture.

Chard joins the Screen Australia Board after more than three decades in the screen industry across distribution, production, and international content. He is currently managing partner of CME Pty Ltd, which advises on screen content distribution, financing, and negotiations, and previously served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Roadshow Films Group.

He also sits on the board of Creative Content Australia and has held board positions with FilmNation LLC, the Australian Home Entertainment Distributors Association, and Austereo Group.
