Kristen Wiig revived her classic “Saturday Night Live” character Dooneese on the show’s 50th anniversary special on Sunday night.

Wiig appeared during the first sketch of the evening, “The Lawrence Welk Show,” alongside Fred Armisen as Lawrence Welk; Will Ferrell as singer and actor Robert Goulet; and Scarlett Johansson, Kim Kardashian and Ana Gasteyer as her fellow Maharelle sisters — Janice, Holly and Margaret, respectively.

Ferrell, who rode a Vespa with a sidecar onto the stage, began performing a song and scatting, causing the audience to roar with laughter.

“Oh my god. Did they put LSD in my Caesar salad, or do I see three beautiful ladies hitchhiking my way?” Ferrell asked, as he made his way over to Johansson, Kardashian and Gasteyer, who sang the Maharelle sister’s introduction song. The show then cut to Wiig as Dooneese, sitting in the Vespa’s sidecar and honking the horn with the character’s signature tiny hands.

Throughout the sketch, the Maharelle sisters tried to win the affection of Ferrell’s Goulet. As Ferrell resumed singing with Johansson, Kardashian and Gasteyer, Wiig proceeded to lick Dooneese’s tiny hands and stroke Johansson’s face, tap on one of Gasteyer’s breasts and pretend to play the drums on Kardashian’s butt.

At one point, Wiig sang to Ferrell, “I put a bird in my mouth and I went to the movies. Then I laughed at the movie and the bird flew out, but the bird choked on popcorn and I gave it CPR. And the bird flew away, but I caught it and ate it raw. Is that bad?”

Ferrell responded, “Wow, and to think I almost picked Kim Kardashian.”

SNL50: The Anniversary Special” is airing on NBC and Peacock, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Watch the full “Lawrence Welk” sketch below.
