Rodger Corser is gearing up for his next television gig, with “The Traitors” set to hit screens soon.

The program is billed as a “heart-pounding psychological adventure series” which will pit contestants against each other in missions to win silver for their prize pot. Some of the contestants, however, are secretly ‘Traitors’ and will attempt to lie, deceive and manipulate their way to the prize by eradicating ‘Loyal’ contestants.

“The Traitors” will be set in to grand heritage hotel.

Corser said he is excited to be hosting Network 10’s new social deduction game.

“Who doesn’t love a great murder mystery and this one has all the intrigue and glamour of your favourite whodunnit,” he said.

“I can’t wait to see how our eclectic bunch of contestants compete with each other while navigating trust, betrayal and murder. I’m especially looking forward to watching our players pick each other off, one by one, in the ultimate game of deception.

“And just like them, you’ll be dying to see how it ends.”

“The Traitors” is an international format that has already been commissioned in the US and UK. It was devised by IDTV, Pos Video and RTL, and distributed by All 3 Media International Limited.

In Australia, it will be produced by Endemol Shine for Network 10.

When the Australian edition was announced back in February, Daniel Monaghan, senior VP of content and programming for Network 10’s parent company Paramount Australia and New Zealand, said he was excited for the series to hit our shores.

“‘The Traitors’ is a highly sought-after new series internationally and we are so pleased to have secured the format for the Australian market,” he said.

“Our production partner, Endemol Shine Australia, will create sensational edge-of-your-seat television that will have viewers gripped – and eager to see if the Traitors can remain undetected.

“It’s going to have everyone talking.”

Sabrina Duguet, executive VP for All 3 Media across APAC, said Network 10 provides a brilliant home for premium entertainment.

“Since its launch in the Netherlands, IDTV’s “The Traitors” has captured the TV industry’s imagination and we are thrilled that 10 in Australia will be part of the brand’s journey around the world,” she said.

Corser has appeared in Australian television dramas including “Water Rats”, “McLeod’s Daughters”, “Underbelly”, “Puberty Blues” and “Party Tricks”.

Until last year, he was the lead in Nine’s “Doctor, Doctor”.
