Qantas passengers will now have access to Paramount Plus‘ slate of content.
The integration will be available on the wired in-seat services, Qantas supplied devices and the Qantas Entertainment App.
The deal means Qantas customers will be able to stream Paramount Plus’ exclusive series, movies and Originals including “Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber”, “The Offer”, “The First Lady”, “iCarly”, “The Man Who Fell to Earth”, “Star Trek”, “NCIS” and “South Park” on domestic and international flights.
Australian content such as “Five Bedrooms”, “Spreadsheet”, “More Than This” and “6 Festivals” will also be added as part of monthly content updates.
Liz Baldwin, senior VP of streaming at Paramount ANZ, said the platform is the home of the biggest names in entertainment, exclusive premium content and the most unique stories.
“Making the must-see content available to Qantas customers across the In-Flight Entertainment services with a dedicated Paramount Plus category is fabulous for travellers and further cements Paramount Plus as a powerful player in streaming delivering an exceptional customer entertainment experience,” she said.
Stephanie Tully, Qantas’ chief customer officer, added: “One of the most enjoyable in-flight experiences is choosing what movie to watch. Our Frequent Flyers tell us that catching up on the latest movies or working their way through a box set on board is one of their most enjoyable in-flight experiences.
“As many parents will attest, it’s also helpful for keeping little ones entertained.”
Paramount Plus recently celebrated its first birthday in the local market.
