“The Book of Mormon” is officially heading back to Perth in 2026.

After returning to Sydney last year, and following its current run in Melbourne and Brisbane later in the year, the production will return to Crown Theatre in October 2026.

The cast includes Sean Johnston (“Hairspray”) as Elder Price, Nick Cox (“Beauty and the Beast”) as Elder Cunningham, Paris Leveque who made her professional debut in the current Sydney run as Nabulungi, Tom Struik (“Sister Act the Musical”) as Elder McKinley, Simbarashe Matshe (“Filthy Business”) as Mafala Hatimbi, Augie Tchantcho reprising his role as The General and Matthew Hamilton (“Tina – The Tina Turner Musical”) as Mission President.

“The Book of Mormon”, a winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, returned to Australia last July at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre. Since its Broadway debut in 2011, the production has shattered box office records in the US, London, and Australia.

The production brings together the same creative dream team that first turned heads when the show premiered on Broadway in 2011. That includes “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who teamed up with songwriter Robert Lopez — a double EGOT winner and co-writer of “Frozen” and “Avenue Q” — to write the show’s book, music and lyrics. The show also features direction and choreography from Broadway star Casey Nicholaw (“Aladdin,” “Mean Girls,” “The Prom”).
