Australian comedy star Jim Jefferies is coming home for a massive tour.

Announced today, Jefferies will bring his acclaimed “Son of a Carpenter” tour across the country this July and August, appearing in Sydney, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Hobart, Geelong, Wollongong, Canberra, and more towns and cities (see full dates below).

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, February 23 at 11am local time. The fan and promoter pre-sale begins on Friday, February 20 at 11am local time.

This will be Jefferies’ biggest-ever run of shows in Australia.

“Coming back to Australia with this tour feels massive,” the comedian says. “I’ve been yelling at Americans and Europeans for the last two years now, so it’s only fair I come home and yell at you to too.

“No matter how far I travel, I’m still just an Aussie bloke who somehow turned my stories into a career. I’m looking forward to bringing this show back where it all started — and keen to perform in some places I’ve never been before!”

Ahead of his homecoming tour, Jefferies appeared on the “Rolling Stone Uncut” podcast, where he revealed his preference for playing headline shows over random comedy festivals.

“To be honest, I like performing in front of my fans,” he said. “My comedy has gotten to a stage now where I can start referencing old jokes of mine, or I can reference my parents, my brothers, or an ex-girlfriend, or something, and people sort of can follow that. My shows are almost serialised now, you know?

“On this tour, there are three venues where 10,000 people will be coming.”

The full episode drops later this week.
