To celebrate the opening night of their new film, “Wuthering Heights“, Australian stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are coming to Sydney.

The actors will appear at the screening going ahead at Sydney’s State Theatre on Thursday, February 12th – the same day as its national cinema release – which will mark the grand finale of a global tour that also sees them head to LA, Paris and London.

“Sydney, we are so thrilled to bring our upcoming film, “Wuthering Heights”, down under this summer,” Elordi said.

Robbie added: “Come on down with us as we crash onto Australian shores. Wild, unrestrained and impossible to resist.”

Producer and Oscar nominee Josey McNamara is also confirmed to attend.

Director Emerald Fennell has adapted Emily Brontë’s classic novel for the big screen, which is also produced by Robbie and her production company, LuckyChap.

“Saltburn” and “Promising Young Woman” filmmaker Fennell wrote, directed and produced her take on Emily Brontë’s 1847 gothic romance. Alongside Robbie and Elordi, the film stars Hong Chau as Nelly Dean and Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton. Owen Cooper (“Adolescence”) and Charlotte Mellington (“Matilda the Musical”) play younger versions of Cathy and Heathcliff.

Robbie’s homecoming will also include a stint as the Jury President for the returning Tropfest, going ahead at Sydney’s Centennial Park on Sunday, February 22.

“Tropfest has long been an important launchpad for filmmakers,” Robbie said.

“It’s where creativity meets opportunity, and I’m incredibly excited to help celebrate and support the next wave of storytellers.”
