When the first season of Stan’s Emmy-winning hit original series Poker Face hit screens in early 2023, it had audiences immediately hooked and desperate for more. Now, the show is officially back for another season, and the guest star lineup is so packed with A-Listers, you’ll need your own detective skills to keep track.
Created by Rian Johnson (the creative mind behind fun murder-mystery films Knives Out and Glass Onion) and featuring Natasha Lyonne as the ever-curious human lie detector Charlie Cale, the series continues its unique genre of whodunits with a twist.
With the first three of 12 episodes dropping May 8 on Stan, Season 2 not only ups the mystery-of-the-week formula fans love to decipher, but also packs each episode with an unreal cast of familiar faces.
So, who can you expect to see? From cult icons to unexpected scene-stealers, we’re breaking down television’s most stacked guest cast – all 28 of ‘em.

Cynthia Erivo
The Tony, Emmy, and Grammy winner joins the Poker Face cast playing not one, but six identical siblings in a single episode, each with their own wild personalities and secrets. Fresh off her Oscar-nominated role as Elphaba in Wicked, Erivo’s performance is set to be a standout.

John Mulaney
Everybody’s favourite sharp-witted comedian and former Saturday Night Live writer, John Mulaney, is also bringing star power to Poker Face. Known best for his stand-up specials and the Netflix talk show John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA, we’re excited to see what he brings to the role.

Katie Holmes
Forever etched into our pop-culture consciousness from Dawson’s Creek, Ray Donovan and a recent stint on Broadway opposite Jim Parsons in Our Town, Katie Holmes now steps into the Poker Face universe as the wife of a disturbing funeral director shrouded in mystery.

Justin Theroux
Known best from his Critics’ Choice nominated performance in The Leftovers and his role in Tim Burton’s spooky cult classic Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, we’re excited to see Justin Theroux join the Poker Face cast. While not much is known about his character yet, he’s sure to bring his signature charm.

Awkwafina
Golden Globe-winning actor and comedian, Awkwafina, also joins the star-studded Poker Face cast this season. Recently appearing in the latest season of Black Mirror, you probably also know Awkwafina from The Farewell, Crazy Rich Asians and Quiz Lady.

Giancarlo Esposito
Also joining the Season 2 cast as funeral director is Giancarlo Esposito, acclaimed for his unforgettable role as chicken shop owner slash drug dealer Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. More recently, he also starred alongside Uzo Abuda in The Residence.

Melanie Lynskey
Following her brilliant turns in acclaimed hits like Yellowjackets and The Last of Us, Melanie Lynskey makes an ideal guest star for the comedy murder-mystery. The New Zealand actress might seem friendly, but Poker Face fans know better than to trust first impressions on this show.

Jason Ritter
Also joining the cracking cast is Jason Ritter, best known for his roles in Parenthood, Gravity Falls and Matlock. This season, he’s wrapped up in a classic Poker Face puzzle that might just trip up even the most eagle-eyed fans.

BJ Novak
Forever iconic as Ryan Howard from The Office, BJ Novak now steps into the Poker Face cast for one exciting episode. It’s a familiar genre for Novak, who also wrote, directed and starred in the 2022 horror comedy Vengeance.

Alia Shawkat
Alia Shawkat joins the Season 2 cast fresh off playing a wellness guru in the dark comedy Search Party, and a cocktail waitress in the dark thriller Blink Twice. She’s also well known for her role as Maeby Fünke on Emmy-award winning series Arrested Development.

Haley Joel Osment
If Haley Joel Osment looks familiar, it’s because you probably remember him from his childhood roles in Forrest Gump, Thunder Alley and The Sixth Sense. More recently, he starred opposite Channing Tatum in Blink Twice. Now, the actor also joins the cast of Poker Face for another mystery he can sink his teeth into.

Kumail Nanjiani
Oscar-nominated writer and comedian Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Only Murders in the Building) stars in Poker Face as a Tiger-King inspired Florida cop who’s fittingly named Gator Joe. Get ready to laugh.

Carol Kane
Legendary comedic actress Carol Kane, who is celebrated for her unforgettable roles in Taxi and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, graces Poker Face with her classic charm. Her extensive career in film and television makes her a delightful addition to this season’s eclectic cast.

David Krumholtz
Recently seen in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, David Krumholtz also joins the cast of Poker Face. He’s also had notable roles in 10 Things I Hate About You, Numb3rs, The Deuce and The Santa Clause films.

Sam Richardson
Sam Richardson is the effortlessly funny and lovable star of hits like Ted Lasso, Detroiters and Veep. We don’t know much about his Poker Face character yet, but he’s guaranteed to make us laugh.

Margo Martindale
Emmy-winning actress Margo Martindale is perhaps one of the most credited actors in Hollywood. She’s most recognised for her role on drama series Justified and The Americans, and has won a Tony award for her performance as Big Mama in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway.

Patti Harrison
Best known for her performances in Shrill, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, The Lost City and Together Together, Patti Harrison is also amongst the young comedy stars joining Poker Face.

John Cho
From his breakout role in Harold & Kumar films to the intense thriller Searching, John Cho has spent decades proving he’s got incredible range. He’s also made appearances in Star Trek, Cowboy Bebop and The Exorcist, making him a great choice for Poker Face Season 2.

Gaby Hoffmann
Former child actor Gaby Hoffmann also joins the cast. She’s best known for her early roles in Sleepless in Seattle, Uncle Buck and Now and Then, as well as more recent appearances in thriller series Eric and Zero Day.

Kathrine Narducci
Best recognised as Charmaine Bucco from The Sopranos, Kathrine Narducci has a knack for portraying strong, nuanced characters. Her recent role as Fezco’s grandmother in hit series Euphoria makes her an exciting choice for Poker Face.

Sherry Cola
Also joining the impressive cast is Sherry Cola, who is best known for her role in the series Good Trouble, where her comedic timing and charisma are on full display. Cola made her start in radio and stand up comedy, before appearing in Joy Ride, Nobody Wants This and Shortcomings.

Kevin Corrigan
Grounded for Life star Kevin Corrigan also joins the Poker Face cast this season. With a career spanning decades, Corrigan has appeared in films like Goodfellas and Pineapple Express.

Ben Marshall
As a member of the comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy and a writer for Saturday Night Live, we’re keen to see what Ben Marshall brings to the show. Off screen, he’s currently gearing up for a show at Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House.

Ego Nwodim
Another Saturday Night Live regular and sketch comedian is joining the cast, Ego Nwodim. She’s also known for her roles on Mr. Throwback and Scrambled, and her podcast THANKS DAD.

Corey Hawkins
Also making an appearance in Season 2 is Corey Hawkins, who first caught the world’s attention for his portrayal of Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton, and other roles including The Colour Purple and 24: Legacy.

Simon Rex
Widely known for the Scary Movie franchise and his award-winning performance in comedy drama Red Rocket, Simon Rex joins the Poker Face cast as a washed up baseball player with a few secrets.

Cliff “Method Man” Smith
Cliff “Method Man” Smith, a member of the iconic hip-hop group the Wu-Tang Clan, has successfully transitioned into acting with roles in Power Book II: Ghost and The Deuce. Now, he’s coming to Poker Face for a new wild ride.
