But her performance at the Global Citizen Festival is not just about the music – it’s about driving action. The festival aims to tackle some of the world’s biggest issues, from defeating poverty to demanding equity and defending our planet.

Katie Hill, SVP of Music, Entertainment, and Artist Relations at Global Citizen, said of the K-Pop sensation, “Lisa is not only an incredible performer, but also a powerful advocate, leveraging her voice and platform to drive action on some of the most urgent challenges our world is facing. We look forward to welcoming LISA, and of course Lilies and Blinks, to Central Park in September!”

The announcement comes hot on the heels of her successful debut of her brand-new single, “ROCKSTAR,” which has already exceeded 100 million streams globally since its release in June.

The song’s teaser on TikTok also helped Lisa break the Guinness World Record for the fastest account to reach 1 million followers on the platform.

Blackpink has already made history as the first girl group and K-pop group to headline Coachella in 2022, drawing the largest crowd ever seen at the festival’s main stage. The group’s Born Pink World Tour in 2022 also became the highest-grossing concert tour by a female group in history and the most-attended tour by a K-pop girl group.

Tickets to Global Citizen festival are free and can be earned by taking action through the Global Citizen app or website.
