“The F Ward” follows a group of medical interns dispatched to the underfunded Pines Hospital in Sydney for one final chance at completing their training. Facing personal insecurities, complicated histories and the constant pressure of life-or-death decisions, the group must find a way to survive — and prove themselves — in a hot-house environment where the stakes are life and death.

The series is co-created by Dan Edwards and Kelsey Munro, the duo behind Stan’s breakout drama “Bump,” with John Edwards serving as executive producer. Andy Ryan and Michael Healy executive produce for Stan. Roadshow Rough Diamond co-produces alongside CBS Studios, with major investment from Screen Australia and financing support from Screen NSW’s Made in NSW – TV Drama Fund.

Natalie Bailey (“Down Cemetery Road”) and Neil Sharma (“Critical Incident”) direct, with scripts from Munro alongside Jessica Tuckwell, Shanti Gudgeon, Nick Coyle and Jack Yabsley. International distribution is handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Friel is best known internationally for the cult US series “Pushing Daisies” and the British crime drama “Marcella.” Sa’ula previously starred in “Bump” for Stan, while Dimitriades recently appeared in “Strife.”

“The F Ward” premieres on July 17th.
