SBS On Demand’s August 2025 additions include “Safe Harbor,” a new crime-thriller series from “Ozark” co-creator Mark Williams, as well as page-to-screen Nordic noir “Fatal Crossing” and a range of Werner Herzog films.
Back in 2018, the Australian broadcaster screened a four-part homegrown series called “Safe Harbour,” but 2025’s new entry in its catalogue is completely unrelated. “Game of Thrones” stars Alfie Allen and Jack Gleeson feature alongside Colm Meaney, Charlie Murphy and Martijn Lakemeier, with Allen and Lakemeier portraying friends who agree to hack into Rotterdam harbour’s computer system for the Irish mob.
“Fatal Crossing” follows a journalist investigating an old missing-person case, and joins season two of fellow Danish series “The Shift” among the platform’s latest titles. “Nosferatu the Vampyre,” “Aguirre, the Wrath of God” and “Fitzcarraldo” are just some of the Herzog films hitting the service, while Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington-starring 2020 miniseries “Little Fires Everywhere” is another newcomer for the streamer.
