Max has dropped the first teaser for “Most Wanted: Teen Hacker,” a four-part documentary series premiering this September that chronicles the extraordinary criminal career of Julius Kivimäki, a Finnish hacker whom the FBI has branded as one of the world’s most dangerous cybercriminals.

The teaser reveals the scope of Kivimäki’s crimes, which began when he was just 15 years old and included hacking Elon Musk, shutting down PlayStation worldwide, and triggering a U.S. Air Force alert by forcing a passenger jet to make an emergency landing.

The Max Original series delves into the decade-long crime spree of Kivimäki, now 27 and known as Aleksanteri Kivimäki, whose audacious hacks included orchestrating SWAT attacks — including one targeting an FBI agent’s family home.

The documentary traces Kivimäki’s journey from a 15-year-old hacker operating from his bedroom to one of Europe’s most wanted criminals, living luxuriously around the world before authorities finally tracked him down at a Las Vegas casino. The series features extensive interviews with FBI agents, SWAT team members, cybersecurity experts, Kivimäki’s victims, internationally known hackers and Kivimäki himself, who is currently incarcerated.

The English-language series was filmed across locations in the U.S. and U.K. Award-winning documentary filmmaker Sami Kieksi directs the project, which he co-wrote with Joni Soila. The series is produced by Aller Studios, part of the Nordic media group Aller Media Nordic.

“This documentary series is a powerful example of Nordic storytelling with global relevance,” said Pil Brandstrup, group VP, original production networks and streaming, Warner Bros. Discovery Nordics. “Most Wanted: Teen Hacker explores a critically important topic cybercrime that affects us all, yet remains unfamiliar to many. With the access to the Finnish hacker, victims around the world, top cybersecurity experts, and even a former FBI agent, the series presents a gripping, multi-perspective narrative.”

Each of the four episodes will roll out weekly on Fridays exclusively on Max. The series was commissioned by Brandstrup and Katja Santala, director, original production networks and streaming, Warner Bros. Discovery Finland.
