BBC Studios Productions Australia has announced three key appointments which comes at a “pivotal time” for the business.
On Monday, the company announced the recruitment of Scott Hartley as new Head of Production for Scripted, Amanda Bainbridge as Creative Head of Post Production and Amber Brown as Director of Partnerships, Digital and Brands.
Hartley previously worked as Scripted Productions Supervisor at Fremantle Australia where he oversaw projects including Netflix’s “Heartbreak High” and “Bay of Fires” for ABC. Prior to that, he served as Scripted Production Executive at Amazon Studios Australia where he managed the production and development of notable local projects like “The Office Australia” and “The Narrow Road to the Deep North” starring Jacob Elordi.
Hartley will now take on upcoming BBC Studios Productions Australia titles like the second season of ABC’s “Return to Paradise”, the local adaption of hit UK and US comedy “Ghosts Australia” and a third project to be announced soon.

Bainbridge will step into her new role having been with BBC Studios since 2023, and lead the creative director of unscripted titles like “Dancing With The Stars”, “The Great Australian Bake Off” and “Top Gear Australia”.
Meanwhile, Brown will take on the Director of Partnerships position having moved across from Uber ANZ where she led strategic partnerships for the company. In the new position, Brown will be tasked with driving off-air brand activations and overseeing the growth of brand-funded entertainment and digital for locally produced programming by BBC Studios Productions Australia and Werner Film Productions.
