All3Media International, the London-based banner behind “The Traitors” and “Midsomer Murders,” has appointed Micah Hewson to the newly created role of VP of sales for Australia and New Zealand.

Hewson has been in the television business for over 20 years. He previously worked at ITV Studios Australia as head of commercial development and played a key role in securing commissions for major franchises. Prior to this, he was exec producer and development lead at Endemol Australia (Southern Star).

Over at All3Media International, Micah will continue being based in Sydney and will report to Sabrina Duguet, EVP Asia-Pacific and Julie Dowding, SVP Australia & New Zealand.

His remit will include negotiating broadcast and digital rights deals for All3Media International’s extensive, multi-genre portfolio of finished programs and formats, as well as optimizing windowing and relicensing strategies.

“This is a pivotal time in the content landscape and All3Media International has the world-class catalogue and the ambition to lead. It will be a privilege to represent such iconic IP and to work with such a dynamic team,” Hewson said in a statement. “I’m excited to help drive growth in the region, deepen local partnerships and unlock new opportunities across both established and emerging platforms.”

Duguet praised Dowding’s work in the region and said they “knew the time was right to expand the team” to continue the “upward trajectory.”

“Micah’s well-established relationships with broadcasters, buyers and decision-makers, as well as his impressive understanding of not just the industry but also how to captivate viewers, will be a huge asset and we are delighted to welcome him to the team,” Duguet continued.
