Entertainment icon Priscilla Presley will visit Australia this November for “An Audience with Priscilla Presley” — a rare live appearance set to chart her remarkable life in her own words.
The exclusive tour will take place over three nights only, with shows in Melbourne (November 23rd), Brisbane (November 24th), and Sydney (November 25th).
Timed to the release of her forthcoming memoir “Softly, As I Leave You” (Hachette Australia, out September 23rd), the event offers an intimate look at Presley’s life: from her early years at Graceland and marriage to Elvis Presley, to her evolution into an actress, businesswoman, and one of the most enduring figures in pop culture.
In the wake of renewed public interest spurred by Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis”, Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla”, and a series of legal battles following the death of daughter Lisa Marie, this tour presents Priscilla’s own voice, unfiltered by media or myth.
“No one has really heard my side of the story,” Priscilla says. “The adventure we had together, the transformation that I had going from schoolgirl to a woman overnight.”
In recent years, Presley has been at the centre of complex legal dramas, including a court battle over control of Lisa Marie’s estate, a now-resolved settlement with granddaughter Riley Keough, and an ongoing elder abuse lawsuit against a former business associate accused of manipulating her into signing away rights to her own name and likeness. Meanwhile, a bizarre and failed attempt to fraudulently foreclose on Graceland by an alleged dark-web scammer has only added to the surreal orbit around the Presley name.
