Michael Cassel Group enters the label business — with a little help from Celine Dion.
The live entertainment specialist behind the Australian runs of “& Juliet,” “Hamilton,” “Dear Evan Hansen” and other hot productions, launches Michael Cassel Music.
The first cab off the rank is Marney McQueen’s campy, club-ready cut “Taking Chances,” a tie-in MCG’s production of “Titanique,” the Celine Dion jukebox musical.
“The first time I heard ‘Taking Chances,’ I was completely hooked – it’s an absolute banger,” says Cassel of the fresh tune.
“Taking Chances” was produced by James Alexandr and Yogi from Random Soul.
“Launching Michael Cassel Music with ‘Taking Chances’ felt right from the very first beat,” adds Cassel, CEO of MCG. “James brought the heat, Marney brought the magic, and together they’ve delivered something totally electric. This track is exactly what ‘Titanique’ sounds like on the dancefloor—bold, joyful, and just the right amount of unhinged.”

Michael Cassel Group’s stage lineup includes “MJ the Musical”, which is currently playing in Sydney until August 23rd, and will open at Her Majesty’s Theatre from September.
Other productions include “Beetlejuice” (Regent Theatre in Melbourne), and “The Picture of Dorian Gray” featuring Sarah Snook, which is nominated for six Tony Awards. “Dracula” with Cynthia Erivo will begin its West End run in February 2026.
MCG‘s “& Juliet,” the Max Martin jukebox that popped in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, retelling the greatest famous love story of them all with some of the all-time pop gems, was the inaugural winner of the Variety Live Biz Breakfast award in 2024 for best Australian theatre.
