The man who rushed and grabbed Ariana Grande at a “Wicked: For Good” event in Singapore was kicked out of Lady Gaga‘s concert in Brisbane on Tuesday.
According to videos shared on social media, Johnson Wen, who goes by “Pyjama Man” on Instagram, was spotted by fans before the Mayhem Ball tour stop started at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Wen was then seen being escorted out of the venue by security.
In a video posted on X by a concertgoer, people could be heard shouting for Wen to be removed. “Get him out of here,” one person yelled to applause and cheers.
Wen posted on his Instagram Story, “Got kicked out of Lady Gaga concert! The show doesn’t start till 8 p.m.! The early fans were booing me.”
Grande was walking the yellow brick carpet on Nov. 13 in Singapore alongside her fellow “Wicked: For Good” stars Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum and director Jon M. Chu when Wen, wearing a white shirt, jumped the barricade and rushed toward her. He put his arm around Grande and jumped up and down before Erivo intervened to shove the away the red carpet crasher, according to videos that captured the incident. As security removed the intruder, Erivo and Yeoh were seen comforting Grande while fans shouted to ask the pop star, “Are you OK?”
Wen spent nine days in prison for being a public nuisance and is now barred from Singapore, according to reports.
Wen is known for trying to disrupt concerts and events, including a Katy Perry concert in June, the Weeknd’s show in August and the Paris Olympics in summer 2024.
