Breakaway, an independent live entertainment brand and touring music festival company, has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for representation.
Working within CAA’s media and entertainment partnerships division, Breakaway will launch a newly structured sponsorship platform in efforts to scale its national footprint and build out original intellectual property. Breakaway exists as Breakaway Projects, or an in-house record label and artist incubator, and Breakaway Presents, which covers its pop-up experiences.
With a presence in over 12 cities throughout the United States, the company is planning to expand internationally with the goal of bringing its live events and artist pop-ups to global markets. Breakaway Festival — known for its EDM lineups — will also see select expansion into new genres.
“Breakaway offers brands the chance to co-create something that lives beyond the stage, rooted in relevance and designed for lasting impact” said Adam Lynn, CEO of Breakaway. “We’re excited to make moves that position us at the intersection of music, content and community.”
As part of its growing commercial strategies, Breakaway also recently announced the expansion of its title partnership with the energy drink brand Celsius.
“While a festival may last two days, the fan connection starts long before and continues long after the physical activation — giving brands creative touch points around content collaboration, digital media, and merchandise integrations that engage this devoted fanbase,” added a spokesperson for Breakaway in a press release.
The next Breakaway Festival will take place on May 30 and 31 in the Historic Crew Stadium Festival Grounds in Columbus, Ohio, and will be headlined by Dom Dolla, Sofi Tukker, Marshmello, Afrojack and Isoxo.
