“The Amazing Race Australia” will be back on Channel 10 and 10 Play this year.

This year’s edition of the televised competition will see racers facing challenges in locations around the world including Greece, Mexico, Belize, Morocco and Colombia.

“The Amazing Race Australia” was revived in 2019. In 2020, however, the show was restricted to only Australian locations due to COVID-19 and Australia’s border closures.

It didn’t screen at all in 2021.

Broadcaster Network 10 noted the opportunities offered up by a more open world.

“As international borders open up across the globe, so does the endless possibilities for the intrepid teams who will be racing across six continents and experiencing the extraordinary delights of international destinations such as Turkey, Greece, Belize, Morocco, Mexico and Colombia,” it said.

It added that this year’s season will feature “amazing places and amazing people” in a “world of pure imagination”.

Since its 2019 revival, the show has been produced by Eureka Productions.

Channel 10’s ratings have been on the up in recent weeks, thanks largely to its new format “Hunted” – which it dubbed the “biggest new show to launch on TV this year” – and the final ever episode of long-running soap opera “Neighbours”.
