Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have struck a deal with Apple Podcasts which will see the duo’s back catalogue of the “Hamish and Andy” radio show available on the platform.

The offering, known as Hamish and Andy: Unlimited, will cost subscribers $2.99 per month.

The subscription gives listeners access to 12 years of broadcasting spanning from 2006 to 2017, with over 1,800 episodes.

Apple Podcasts said the product includes many iconic moments from the “Hamish and Andy” show, which will bring delight and nostalgia for people around the world. It cited celebrity interviews and stunts such as the Ed Sheeran Peep Show and the Frank Stallone concert, as well as the tall ship voyage as key highlights.

The duo said: “We are pumped to be launching ‘Hamish and Andy: Unlimited’ with Apple. Hopefully people enjoy wandering down memory lane as much as we did when putting this altogether.”

Blake and Lee’s current podcast, which boasts the same name as their former radio show, is currently under contract with Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) Listnr.

In July last year, SCA revealed the duo had signed a new “long-term” partnership with the broadcaster. The deal also meant the duo’s reflective retrospective podcast “Hamish and Andy’s Remembering Project”, would be available first on the Listnr platform, before becoming available on all platforms at a later date.

Dave Cameron, chief content officer at SCA, noted at the time that there was “only one Hamish and Andy” and SCA was thrilled they were remaining part of the family.

“The boys’ approach to everything they do has their own distinct and ingenious brand of fun that audiences across the country continue to enjoy. We love working with them and are excited about creating a third season of “Hamish and Andy’s Remembering Project” and exclusive content for Listnr, alongside the continuation of the biggest entertainment podcast in the country, “Hamish and Andy”.”

“Hamish and Andy” regularly tops the Australian Podcast Ranker as the country’s podcast with the most unique listeners.

SCA was approached for comment on the implications of this new Apple Podcasts deal. The organisation pointed to its long-term podcast deal with the duo and said it remained in tact.
