The seventh television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the major arrival on Disney Plus in June. “Ms. Marvel” introduces viewers to Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey Ciy.
Feeling like she doesn’t fit in anywhere, including at school and at home, newfound super powers soon transform Kamala’s life forever. The series subsequently follows the travails of the fledgling superhero, as she aims to live up to her own hero, Captain Marvel.
This should be a breakout performance from newcomer Iman Vellani, with the teenager set to reprise the titular role in rex year’s Captain Marvel film, “The Marvels”.
Fancy a film inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” with the setting moved from the British Countryside to Long Island? The new romantic comedy “Fire Island” arrives on Disney Plus on June 17th, set in the iconic gay holiday destination of the same name.
The story follows two best friends intent on having a legendary summer vacation, filled with parties, cheap wine, hookups, and even perhaps love. Rising “Saturday Night Live” star Bowen Yang and stand-up comic Joel Kim Booster are backed by Margaret Cho in the STAR Original Movie.
