“Neighbours” fans haven’t yet seen the last of the show and its stars, with production company Fremantle announcing a live show which will come to Melbourne next year.

“Neighbours: The Farewell Show” will take place on April 16 in Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.

The show promises to be an “unforgettable night” off the back of its tour throughout the U.K. in March.

Promotion for the event promised “some of the biggest and best names from the soap on stage”, looking back on the show’s 37 years.

“Join us as we look back at some of the footage from across the years, enjoy never-before-heard stories from the cast as they are interviewed live on the stage, plus surprises and a Q&A session,” event details reveal.

“This will be the ultimate night for any ‘Neighbours’ fan – and the perfect way to say ‘farewell’ to one of the world’s most-loved soaps.”

Full cast details for the event will be revealed at a later date.

Tickets for “Neighbours: The Farewell Show” start at $89 for C-Reserve and climb to $139 for ‘Premium’.

They go on sale for My Ticktek members on Monday, Aug. 29. The main on-sale date is Sept. 6.

The “Neighbours: The Farewell Show” U.K. edition will hit Belfast on Mar. 1, before travelling to locations including Manchester, Newcastle, Bath and London.

Many of the shows – including those in Glasgow, Cardiff, Birmingham, Brighton and Southhampton – are already sold out. The remaining shows are marked as ‘limited availability’.

“Neighbours” came to an end in Australia on July 28.

Locally, the finale had an overnight national audience of 1.2 million viewers.

The long-running show’s woes reached critical mass when local broadcaster Network 10 and the show’s producer Fremantle Australia failed to secure a U.K. production partner after Channel 5 decided to pull its partnership and funding.

Despite initial hopes the show could be salvaged, it was not a viable proposition without the international funding.

The final episode featured cameos and appearances from stars of the show who have since gone on to find local and international success including Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, Delta Goodrem and Margot Robbie.
