Bleecker Street has released the trailer for “Musk,” Alex Gibney’s new documentary about the world’s richest man, tech mogul Elon Musk.
“Musk” premiered out of competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 8, where it received a four-minute standing ovation, and then screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. The sprawling exposé about one of the most divisive figures across popular culture has a runtime of almost four hours.
Musk has no involvement in the film, and recently let his thoughts be known about Gibney’s work in a series of replies on X, his own social media platform.
Under a video of Gibney at a press conference for “Musk,” he wrote that “dogshit is worth more respect” than the director. In a separate reply, he claimed that Gibney “just assembled a hit list of people who either have an axe to grind or don’t even know me (but still have an axe to grind),” adding: “He has ZERO integrity. Horrible human.”
“Musk” opens in theatres Oct. 9 from Bleecker Street.
