Anya Taylor-Joy to Star in ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt For Gollum’ as an Elf

Anya Taylor-Joy is the latest star to join the cast of “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.”

The new film is directed by and starring Andy Serkis, who returns to play Gollum, alongside Ian McKellen (as Gandalf), Elijah Wood (Frodo) and Lee Pace (King Thranduil). Taylor‑Joy joins an ensemble of new cast members, including Kate Winslet as Marigol, Jamie Dornan as Strider, and Leo Woodall as Halvard.

Taylor-Joy is set to play the role of Seren, a Sindar Elf of the Woodland Realm, who is described as “a trusted and lethal agent of King Thranduil.

The casting also marks Taylor-Joy’s third role in one of Warner Bros.’ marquee franchises following “Furiosa” (the prequel to “Mad Max: Fury Road”) and the “Dune” movies.
