Bluey” was 2025’s most-streamed title in the U.S. in 2025 — of any kind, including adult series and films — with 45 billion minutes watched, per Nielsen. This is the second year in a row that the animated children’s series has claimed the No. 1 title.

The achievement doesn’t come as a surprise, as “Bluey” has made it onto Nielsen’s Top 10 streaming charts almost every week for a few years now. Still, the 45.2 billion-minute total is made doubly impressive when noting that “Bluey” only comprises of 154 episodes on Disney+, most of which are less than 10 minutes long. Its closest competitor was “Grey’s Anatomy,” which hit No. 2 most-streamed with 40.9 billion minutes watched on Hulu and Netflix across its 455 episodes, which run for more than 40 minutes each.

“Grey’s Anatomy” was the runner-up in 2024 as well, continuing a trend of acquired titles with large libraries dominating the viewership charts. The only streaming original to make the overall Top 10 for 2025 was “Stranger Things” with just under 40 billion minutes watched. The hit series was boosted by the release of its fifth and final season across November and December. See the Top 10 most-streamed titles of the year below.

These data points were released as part of Nielsen’s ARTEY Awards, which take a look at the major streaming trends over the course of a year. Another notable acquired title to win an ARTEY was “Gunsmoke,” the western drama than ran on CBS for 20 seasons from 1955 to 1975. The series was named Nielsen’s most-binged title of the year. It achieving 22.5 billion minutes watched in 2025 — a big jump from the series’ already impressive 10.2 billion minutes watched in 2024 — but perhaps even more notable is that “Gunsmoke” viewers typically stuck with the show for an average for 241 episodes. Per Nielsen, its availability for free on ad-supported platforms like Pluto added significantly to its growth this year, though it also streams on Peacock on Paramount+. Nielsen also noted that “Gunsmoke” attracted a generally older audience, and that Black viewers made up 29% of its total stream time.

Other ARTEY winners included “K-Pop Demon Hunters” as the most-streamed movie of the year and Seth MacFarlane as the inaugural Streaming Icon of the Year in recognition of his highly viewed work across titles and platforms.
