Pete Davidson will host a new video podcast on Netflix titled “The Pete Davidson Show,” streaming in the U.S. beginning Jan. 30. Episodes will be released weekly.

Per Netflix, “‘The Pete Davidson Show’ will see the comedian sitting down with his famous friends for revealing conversations from the comfort of his garage.”

“Netflix was the home of one of my first stand-up specials,” Davidson said in a statement, “so it felt right to bring the podcast there, too. It’s me and my friends talking about anything and everything. It’s going to be a great time.”

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Davidson has made two comedy specials for Netflix: 2020’s “Alive From New York” and 2024’s “Turbo Fonzarelli.” The podcast will be produced by Above Average president Marc Lieberman and Ayala Cohen (“SNL”). Sarah Brennan Kolb will direct.

“The Pete Davidson Show” arrives as part of Netflix’s big push into the podcast space. In an attempt to compete with YouTube, the streamer has partnered with companies like iHeartMedia, Barstool Sports, Spotify Studios and The Ringer to bring popular podcasts exclusively to Netflix. The shows include the radio show featuring Charlamagne Tha God “The Breakfast Club,” the true-crime show “My Favorite Murder” and Barstool’s “Pardon My Take,” among others.

On Wednesday, Netflix also announced a new original sports video podcast hosted by Michael Irvin, “The White House.” With two episodes a week, the show will feature sports analysis from a rotating roster of co-hosts including former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The series starts Jan. 19.
