Sabrina Carpenter Arrests Nicole Kidman at Tour Show

Sabrina Carpenter performs live

Sabrina Carpenter continued her tradition of “arresting” celebrities during her “Short n’ Sweet” tour, this time targeting Oscar winner Nicole Kidman at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday night.

The pop star spotted Kidman in the crowd and immediately launched into her signature routine, referencing the actress’s iconic AMC cinema advertisement. “We come to this arena for magic, right?” Carpenter announced from the stage, directly quoting Kidman’s memorable ad campaign. As cameras focused on the “Babygirl” star, Carpenter continued her theatrical arrest.

“Oh my goodness, speaking of magic. I expected to find love, but not my soulmate. What is your name?” Carpenter asked, maintaining the playful energy that has become a hallmark of her tour performances. After Kidman responded, the “Espresso” singer inquired about her origins.

Learning that Kidman hails from Nashville but was originally born in Australia, Carpenter seized the moment. “But you live in Nashville, which means if things work out between us, then I guess I’m moving to Nashville,” she declared.

The exchange reached its peak when Carpenter delivered the line that sent social media into overdrive: “You’re so—oh, babygirl, I don’t know what to do.”

This arrest follows a pattern Carpenter has established throughout the final leg of her tour. Last week at Madison Square Garden in New York, she targeted Anne Hathaway during her five-night residency, asking the “Princess Diaries” star, “Has anyone ever told you you look like a princess? I’m getting so flustered. Anne, can I arrest you for being the most perfect princess in the world?”

Carpenter previously arrested model Gigi Hadid at her Pittsburgh show for being a “gorgeous girl.”

Carpenter recently pulled double duty on “Saturday Night Live,” both hosting and performing her tracks “Manchild” and “Nobody’s Son”.

The “Short n’ Sweet” tour concludes on November 23 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
