The Foxtel Group pulled back the curtain on its 2026 programming ambitions this evening, announcing sweeping sports rights extensions for Kayo Sports and a bold new slate of scripted and unscripted commissions for Binge.
At the Foxtel Media Upfront, Kayo Sports positioned itself as “Australia’s home of sport,” with CEO Patrick Delany touting an unmatched catalogue across AFL, NRL, cricket, motorsport, and beyond.
“We are Australia’s home of sport, bringing together an extensive breadth and depth of tier-one sports with world-class live game and show production with no ad breaks in play and 4K coverage,” Delany said. “This powerful combination is further enhanced by Fox Sports News and foxsports.com.au, creating a sports experience that is truly unmatched anywhere in the world”
The platform confirmed new golf partnerships covering all four majors and every event on the PGA Tour of Australasia and WPGA tours. Motorsport fans will see expanded coverage with a new multi-year Supercars deal, plus every Formula 1, MotoGP, and World Superbike race live.
Cricket remains a jewel in the crown: the 2025–26 season kicks off with an eight-match white-ball series against India before the Ashes return to Australian soil in November. In 2026–27, England and New Zealand tours are set to reignite historic rivalries.
The service also renewed its ESPN partnership, ensuring access to NBA, NFL, MLB, WNBA, NHL, and Australia’s NBL and WNBL. Other staples include Super Netball, UFC pay-per-views, thoroughbred racing, and AFLW and NRLW.
On the entertainment side, Binge announced an expansive pipeline of local commissions and returning global hits.

“BINGE offers unparalleled breadth and quality of entertainment, combining over 100 content partners with compelling original productions,” said Dani Simpson, Binge GTM Managing Director. “Customers can enjoy an extraordinary world of global hits, the most talked about shows, and the best of Australian storytelling”
Among the new originals:
“Run,” a six-part crime drama inspired by infamous bank robber Brenden Abbott.
“The Postcard Bandit,” a two-part true-crime documentary delving into Abbott’s life and ongoing fight for parole.
“Apocalypse,” a high-stakes reality survival experiment co-commissioned with the UK’s Channel 4.
“Tough Love,” a comedy about siblings confronting mortality and adulthood.
Howard Myers-Rifai, Executive Producer and Head of Unscripted at Foxtel Group, said “The Postcard Bandit” will give audiences “an in-depth account of Abbott’s life and outrageous escapades, insight into the mind of a criminal, as well as the price he paid personally and for the people and loved ones left behind.”
Johnny Lowry, Head of Original Content at WBITVP Australia, added, “This is one of the most extraordinary and gripping true crime stories in Australian history, and with our unparalleled access, it’s set to be an unforgettable documentary series.”
On “Apocalypse,” Myers-Rifai described the series as “a bold new adventure for Binge… throwing everyday people into a wild, post-disaster — and very real — urban playground.” He added, “We can’t wait for audiences to experience the drama, the teamwork, and the sheer unpredictability of ‘Apocalypse’.”
Returning hits include a third season of “Colin From Accounts,” Leah Purcell’s “High Country” season two, and more of “Billion Dollar Playground.” Lifestyle staples “Selling Houses Australia” and “The Great Australian Bake Off” are also confirmed.
On the international front, Binge will bring in “The Death of Bunny Munro” starring Matt Smith, “All Her Fault” with Sarah Snook, “Amadeus” featuring Will Sharpe and Paul Bettany, and “The Five-Star Weekend” headlined by Jennifer Garner and Regina Hall. Fan-favourites “Outlander,” “Ted,” “Taskmaster,” and “The Real Housewives” franchises all return alongside fresh seasons of “Saturday Night Live,” “Below Deck Mediterranean” and “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.”
The announcements underline Foxtel Group’s two-pronged strategy: maintaining dominance in live sport with Kayo Sports while pushing Binge as the home of buzzy originals and global prestige TV.
