SBS On Demand has announced a raft of new exclusive content which will become available to viewers in June.
From Friday, June 3, Season 3 of “The Orville” will stream on the platform.
This series will now be titled “The Orville: New Horizons”. It is the first new season of the show since 2019 after COVID-19 delayed production.
The Seth MacFarlane production is set 400 years in the future and tracks the U.S.S. Orville as the crew explores the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of interpersonal relationships.
The show will also air at 8:30 p.m. on Fridays on SBS Viceland.
Crime thrilled “DI Ray” will also premiere on SBS On Demand next month.
“DI Ray” is created by Maya Sondhi and produced by Jed Mercurio, who both worked on “Line of Duty”.
It stars Parminder Nagra (“The Blacklist”) as detective inspector Rachita Ray, who must face a lifelong personal conflict after being promoted and assigned to a homicide case.
The show starts streaming on Thursday, June 9 and will also screen on SBS from 8:30 p.m. on the same day.
Swedish drama series “A Class Apart” will also drop all eight episodes on SBS On Demand on Thursday, June 2.
The series unspools within a secret society at one of Sweden’s top boarding schools after a hazing ritual goes wrong and a new student is found dead.
One week later, the full season of “The Blackout: Tomorrow Is Too Late” will become available.
The German political thriller takes place as electricity fails all over Europe on a cold November day.
The full season of French contemporary drama “The Runaway” will hit the platform on Thursday, June 30.
“The Runaway” follows 16-year-old Lea who runs away from her suburban home east of Paris and ends up tangled up with a shady rap duo.
SBS On Demand will also premiere Spanish thriller “You Shall Not Lie” on June 16.
“You Shall Not Lie” tells the story of high school teacher Marcena, who is thrust into the spotlight when a video of her having sex with a student goes viral. She then becomes a prime suspect when a body turns up at the bottom of some local cliffs.
