Creed Bratton has lived many lives — TV icon, globe-trotting busker, charting musician — and in October 2025, he’s bringing them all to Australia for ‘A Night of Music & Comedy.’
Best known as the delightfully oddball version of himself in “The Office” (originally cast as a silent extra before evolving into a fan favourite), Bratton’s career began long before his sitcom fame.
Raised in a small mining town between Fresno and Yosemite, he was surrounded by music from birth, with his mother and grandparents all playing instruments. After honing his acting skills in school plays, he left his drama major behind to travel the world, busking across Africa, Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, before finding mainstream success as a member of folk-pop group The Grass Roots.
Following his departure from the band in 1969, Bratton’s solo career simmered in the background before officially launching with 2003’s “Chasin’ The Ball.” Nine more albums followed, culminating in his latest release, “Tao Pop,” a genre-blending exploration that draws on decades of eclectic experiences.
Bratton brought his last variety show to Australia in 2021, a tour delayed by COVID restrictions. “Since I first came up with the idea for this variety tour a few years ago,” Creed said at the time, “I’ve always wanted to head Down Under and perform it for Australian audiences. I couldn’t be happier that I’m finally making my way there.”
Now, with a new record and a lifetime of stories to share, Bratton is set to deliver an evening that blends his offbeat humour with his musical catalogue.
