Intomedia Production Services has promoted Vanessa Farley Els to the position of general manager.

Farley Els joined Intomedia in 2021 as senior production manager, with the company saying she has been instrumental in the expansion and growth of the business.

The new general manager role signals that Intomedia is looking to expand the business and provide liaison and production advice to international production companies wanting to work in Australia and use the country’s crews and facilities.

Farley Els has worked at both the Seven and Nine Networks, including as a senior production coordinator at Seven. She’s worked in production on sport and live event broadcasts, reality and factual.

Stuart Scowcroft, Intomedia’s managing director, said the company is now also looking to expand the producers it works with.

“I have valued [Vanessa’s] insights and experience which have enabled us to serve our clients in the best way possible,” he added. “Her hands-on experience and commitment to the best possible client services means that we move forward with a strong expanded team, dedicated to taking the company into the new financial year with renewed strength and energy.”

Farley Els said the company exists to make things easier for its international clients.

“I’m honoured to take on this new role with Intomedia and I intend to continue cultivating the ethos Stuart has promoted and lived by for the last 20 years,” she said.

“It is imperative that Intomedia keeps the people we work with as our central focus. Other people in the production business are responsible for creating the material and getting it on screen. It is our job to help our clients get the right crew to do that and make sure they are looked after safely and efficiently.”

Intomedia has offices in both Sydney and Adelaide. It had its first feature film credit with 2016’s “Elixir” and has worked with the likes of the BBC, ITV and Discovery Channel.
