The trailer for the new season of the Emmy Award-winning series “Love on the Spectrum” has been unveiled.
Australia’s acclaimed Northern Pictures announced this week that the docu-series’ global release on Netflix is slated for April 2.
The series follows the romantic exploration and experience of people on the autism spectrum, often touching the lives of its watchers.
Karina Holden, co-creator and executive producer of the series expressed pride. “We’re incredibly proud to bring viewers another season of this heartwarming series which contributes to a richer understanding of ourselves and the world around us,” she said.
As the Head of Factual at Northern Pictures as well, Holden added that audiences can follow new hopefuls as well as old favourites this season. “Season Three features the return of couples whose stories have captivated audiences across the globe, together with new faces whose stories remind us that the search for connection is universal,” she revealed.
Season 2 of “Love on the Spectrum” reached Netflix’s Global Top 10 chart for three consecutive weeks after its January release.
Cian O’Clery, the series co-creator, executive producer and director described the series’ continued journey: “Season Three allows us to continue following the relationships of our beloved participants, showing how they evolve, deepen and embrace challenges.
“‘Love on the Spectrum’ is a show that brings joy, hope and understanding to the world and we look forward to sharing these touching stories with global audiences once again.”
Fans will be able to revisit the lives of popular long-term couple Abbey and David from Season 1, who are approaching four years together in July. Medieval enthusiast James and animator Dani will also return to the show, as well as Tanner, Connor and Adan.
New faces include 27-year-old Madison, who was moved to come on the show after witnessing Abbey and David’s growth together, and the artistic 22-year-old Pari.
