Netflix has dropped the first trailer for the upcoming docuseries about Australian pop legend Kylie Minogue.

The docuseries, simply titled “Kylie,” centres on the life and career of one of the country’s biggest artists.

Released yesterday (May 5), the trailer contains newly recorded commentary from Kylie alongside archival footage spanning decades, including behind-the-scenes moments from film sets, live performances and intimate moments with family and friends.

“They’re convincing me to let you in,” Kylie says in the clip.

The docuseries, which is directed by Michael Harte, shows Kylie reflecting on her life and career challenges, including her 2005 diagnosis with breast cancer.

Kylie’s sister Dannii, ex-boyfriend Jason Donovan and music producer Peter Waterman are some of the other notable names featuring in the docuseries.

The trailer comes just weeks after Kylie was confirmed as the headlining act for this year’s AFL Grand Final. Going ahead at the MCG on Saturday, September 26, the show will mark her first-ever AFL Grand Final appearance, and promises to deliver “one of the biggest and most unforgettable” pre-game shows in history.

“The AFL Grand Final at Melbourne’s one and only, forever iconic MCG? Yes please!” Kylie said.

“As a Melburnian, I’m so excited to be coming home for the biggest day in the Aussie sporting calendar. I’ll not only be performing, but I’ll be one of 100,000 fans at the ‘G, watching the wonder that is footy.”

Kylie’s lengthy career has seen her amass over 80 million record sales internationally, 5 billion streams, and nine No. 1 Australian albums. She has also won 18 ARIA Awards, four BRITs, two MTV Awards and two Grammys.

Last year, her iconic 2001 hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” came in at second on Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s Best Australian and New Zealand Songs of the 21st Century So Far list.
