The UFC has once again smashed the Australian box office record.
UFC 325 took place at Qudos Bank Arena for the eighth time on Sunday night (February 1st) where the fight between Australian Alex Volkanovski and Brazilian Diego Lopes filled a packed room of over 18,000 fans and achieved $14.4 million at the box office.
Volkanovski successfully defended his UFC Featherweight Championship, winning a unanimous decision over Lopes. The event featured notable fights across multiple divisions, with standout performances from fighters like Mauricio Ruffy and Quillan Salkilld, as well as finals from Road to UFC Season 4.
With $14.4 million at the box office, it has become the highest grossing indoor arena event in Australian history, surpassing the previous record held by UFC 312 from February 2025.
“The event’s record-breaking ticket sales highlight the power of premier live experiences. We are proud to have supported this monumental occasion and helped deliver an exceptional fan experience,” said Matthew Lazarus-Hall, EVP of Entertainment and Content (APAC) at Legends Global, which operates Qudos Bank Arena.
“It was a massive effort by the entire Qudos Bank Arena team, and their dedication ensured the event ran smoothly and delivered a memorable experience for everyone.”

UFC CEO and President Dana White added: “As usual, another incredible event in Australia. Indoor arena record for highest gate in Australian history, sold out, fans are incredible and the fighters delivered. Huge thanks to the New South Wales Government for the continued support of the UFC in Sydney. We love coming here.”
NSW Premier Chris Minns said the revenue gives a “huge vote of confidence” in NSW and, in particular Sydney, as a global events destination. “Congratulations to Volkanovski on a massive win, it’s great to see an Australian champion shine on home soil while thousands of fans enjoy a world-class event right here in NSW,” he said.
