Stephen Colbert is both happy and dumbfounded over Donald Trump‘s latest poll numbers, expressing bafflement during his March 31 monologue on CBS’ “The Late Show” over how 22.4% of Americans still “strongly approve” Trump despite the the war in Iran inflating gas prices and more. But first, Colbert celebrated how “the fact that Trump is ruining everything all the time has not helped his popularity.”

“According to a new UMass, YouGov, ‘you spin me right round baby right round’ poll, his approval rating has sunk to 33%,” Colbert announced to cheers from the audience. “That’s only one out of every three people. To put that into perspective, turn to your right. Now turn to your left. Both of those people are more popular than Donald Trump.”

But Colbert also noted that Trump’s other poll numbers are “pretty rough” given 47.2% of Americans “strongly disapprove” of the president but “there are still 22.4% who strongly approve of him.

“Who are you?” Colbert yelled in a direct-to-camera address to those Americans still supporting Trump. He then mocked them through impersonation and said: “Well, I want gas to be expensive! I want the Kennedy Center blown up! And I know this is a pipe dream, but is there any way that maybe maybe we could get Denmark to hate us? Because I would just love it if the price of licorice went up, too.”

Colbert isn’t the only late night host mocking Trump this week. John Oliver roasted the president during the most recent episode of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” over Trump’s decision to put his face on the national parks’ America the Beautiful passes. Oliver, who called out Trump’s hypocrisy given he’s cut funding to the parks, combated this choice by launching a website in which visitors can by stickers to put on their passes to hide Trump’s face.
