Season 2 of HBO‘s “Harry Potter” series has cast three key roles.
Rafe Spall (“Trying,” “Life of Pi”) has joined the show as Arthur Weasley, with Molly Hewitt-Richards (“Code of Silence,” “Casualty”) as Moaning Myrtle, and Jasper Ambrose (“Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” “The Sheep Detectives”) as Colin Creevey. As previously announced, Season 2 will be based on the book “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.”
Spall is repped by B-Side and UTA. Hewitt-Richards is repped by Curtis Brown Group. Ambrose is repped by Sylvia Young Agency.
Fans of the franchise will recall that Arthur is the patriarch of the Weasley family, which includes Harry’s best friend Ron. Moaning Myrtle is a ghost and former Hogwarts student who haunts one of the girls’ bathrooms at the school. Creevey is a first-year Hogwarts student who is a big fan of photography and of Harry.
Arthur was played by Mark Williams in the film franchise, while Myrtle was played by Shirley Henderson. Creevey was played by Hugh Mitchell.
These are the latest additions to Season 2 of “Harry Potter.” Others include Kit Harington as Gilderoy Lockhart as well as Bonnie Hill as Ginny Weasley, Lenny Rush as Dobby, and Billy Barratt as Tom Riddle.
