Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter have teamed up for their collaborative song “Bring Your Love,” the lead single off the former’s upcoming album “Confessions II.”
Madonna takes first verse duties before passing it to Carpenter on the single, which has touches of house and disco. “Bring your love ’cause you cannot shake me / Bring your love ’cause you’ll never break me / Bring your love ’cause you cannot take me down,” they sing on the chorus.
The pair first teased the song with its debut during Carpenter’s Weekend 2 performance at Coachella, when Madonna emerged as a surprise guest. After running through her classic hit “Vogue,” Madonna joined Carpenter to premiere “Bring Your Love” before closing out the appearance with “Like a Prayer.”
Madonna has been gradually gearing up for “Confessions II,” which is slated for release on July 3 via Warner Records. It marks her first full-length album in seven years and her reunion with Stuart Price, who originally produced “Confessions on a Dance Floor.”
A few weeks back, Madonna teased the project with the release of the song “I Feel So Free,” which debuted on iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio before officially putting it on streaming services hours later. This past weekend, Madonna made yet another surprise appearance, this time at the Abbey in West Hollywood. The invite-only event was billed as “Club Confessions Los Angeles” with Price, Romy and Mez Monty listed on the bill. Around 1 a.m., Madonna appeared behind the DJ booth, telling attendees, “Hello children, mutha is here to save you.”
While at the Abbey, Madonna sang into the mic as Price played “I Feel So Free.” She was joined in the booth by Addison Rae, who, in a viral moment, was trying to hype the crowd when Madonna tried to grab the mic from her. “I was drunk. Love you Madonna,” Rae later said in an Instagram Story.
