Musician Jack White has fired back at Donald Trump following the president’s remarks made that Iran could “take out Los Angeles” and “San Diego” while speaking about the international conflict on Monday at a rally in Nebraska.

“Hey republicans and conservatives that live in L.A. and San Diego; how do you feel about your Fuhrer recommending that the cities you live in get attacked? Click the video I reposted and watch for yourself,” White shared on Instagram Tuesday. “Listen to the cult members CLAPPING and cheering for this. Let me take a wild guess: it was a joke, owning the libs, insert cult rhetoric here, etc. The allegiance these people have to this corrupt felon is so laughable and ignorant.”

He continued: “That’s right, a U.S. ‘President’ that recommended that two major cities in our country be bombed because they don’t give total allegiance to his ego. Imagine any other President or elected official in history saying this. False flag incoming anyone? Just wait till next month when he begins enacting illegal measures to not allow democracy at the polls to prevail when the right lose badly in the mid term elections. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The Worst American of All Time. #TWAAT”

While onstage, Trump said that raising prices, due to the war, were a “small price to pay for keeping the world safe – keeping our country safe”. “They can take out a city,” Trump continued. “Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.”

White has long opposed Trump and has blasted the president many times before. In Aug. 2025, the “White Stripes” vocalist took to social media to call him a danger “not just to America but the entire world and that’s not an exaggeration,” and in Feb., mocked Trump’s appearance and track record of international conflict, writing, “Behold the leader of the ‘Board of Peace.’ For the next war announcement donny, may I suggest having your feet up on the Resolute desk while eating a Big Mac in a velvet track suit?”

Gov. Gavin Newsom also spoke out after Trump’s comments, sharing several posts on X. “He is deranged and dangerous,” Newsom wrote in one post. “An American president is talking about Los Angeles and San Diego being ‘taken out.’ Where the hell is Congress? This is dangerous. The time to stand up is NOW,” he wrote in another.
