New Zealand Comedian Chris Parker Announces National Tour

Aotearoa comedian Chris Parker is going on tour.

Parker today announced his ‘Take a Good Look at Me’ tour, which will take him to Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland this September (see full dates below).

Tickets to all shows go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, March 4 at 2pm local time. The Live Nation pre-sale begins on Tuesday, March 3 at 1pm local time, finishing on Wednesday, March 4 at 1pm local time or until allocation is exhausted (sign up here).

According to a press release, Parker is “most commonly known for his viral lockdown videos that connected him with fans across Instagram and TikTok.”

He has regular appearances on national TV shows including “Thank God You’re Here” and “Have You Been Paying Attention?” to his name, and co-hosts “The Male Guys” podcast with fellow Kiwi comic Eli Matthewson. He also on the hit New Zealand TV show “Celebrity Treasure Island.”

Parker’s 2025 ‘Stop Being So Dramatic’ tour saw him play to sold-out audiences throughout the UK, Australia and his home country.

In 2021 Parker won the Fred Award for Best New Zealand Show at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival for his solo show ‘Gentle Man.’

Parker has received positive reviews from critics for past shows and tours.

The New Zealand Herald called his ‘Lots of Love’ tour in 2023 “an exuberant, high-speed and hilarious show.”

In 2019, Metro Mag wrote, They’re iconic, and he wants to be too. The show that follows isn’t quite an instant classic, but it’s an enjoyable hour of comedy.

Scottish publication The Skinny loved Parker’s Edinburgh Fringe show in 2019, praising it as “an energetic, relentlessly funny hour” of comedy.
