“Swapped,” the new animated film with a voice cast led by Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple, has broken a Netflix record.

After debuting as Netflix’s No. 2 English-language film of the week with 15.5 million views in its first three days, “Swapped” took a major leap, hitting 38.7 million views during the week of May 4-10. That’s the largest audience a Netflix animated movie has ever achieved in a seven-day period.

Naturally, that took the film to the top of the charts for the week. “Swapped” ranked as not only the most-watched English-language film of the week, but the most watched title on Netflix overall. It was followed by “Apex,” a Charlize Theron-led thriller film that achieved 16.2 million views in its third week on the chart. Also of note on the movies chart was Sally Field’s “Remarkably Bright Creatures,” which debuted with 10.4 million views.

The third-most-watched title overall and the top TV title for the second week in a row was “Man on Fire” starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen with 12.6 million views. Also in its second week was “Should I Marry a Murderer?,” which took second palce with 8 million views, tying with the debut of “Worst Ex Ever” Season 2.

The rest of the titles on the TV chart were below 3.5 million views: “Running Point” Season 2 in its third week, “Unchosen” in its third week, the May 4 edition of “Raw: 2026,” “Lord of the Flies” in its its debut week, “Funny AF With Kevin Hart — The Live Semifinals” in its debut week and “La Brea” in its third week.
